Cassie Baker

Cassie Baker is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Brainspotting Practitioner & Consultant, Certified Mindfulness Coach, and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). With over 10 years’ experience working in the human services field, she has served diverse populations within multiple treatment settings. Now a private practice owner, she offers integrative mental health treatment, consultation, and supervision through a trauma-informed lens.

Cassie and her daughter are both members of the bleeding disorders community (Von Willebrand), but maintain an active lifestyle (along with her partner and two “bonus sons”) that incorporates yoga, hiking, kayaking, and travel. Also an advisory board member for the UofL Hemophilia Treatment Center, Cassie honors the mind-body connection and serves as an advocate for others.

Diane Burnett

Diane Burnett APRN recently retired as a pediatric nurse practitioner after working in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (University of Louisville and Norton Cancer Institute locally) for the past 40 years. She graduated from Valparaiso University and University of Virginia for her nursing training. She was one of the first nurse practitioners at Norton’s Children’s Hospital in 1983. Her passion was pediatric hematology, and taught many patients and families about their bleeding disorders, as well as many colleagues and nursing students during her tenure. She served on national hematology committees including National Hemophilia Nursing Committee, was content expert for ANCC Hemostasis Nursing Certification development, and lectured locally and nationally regarding pediatric hematology topics. She received numerous nursing and volunteer awards during her career. She is married, has 2 grown children, a daughter in law, future son in law, and a new granddaughter- whom she is thrilled all live locally! She is excited to be a board member for BDofKY and looks forward to seeing familiar friends and developing new ones!

Mark Milburn

Mark Milburn is Associate Vice President, Market Solutions for InfuCareRX, a national independent provider for infusion therapy. Mark is a graduate of the University Of Kentucky College Of Pharmacy and received a Master’s Degree at Campbellsville University in Management and Leadership. With over 30 years’ involvement in health systems and infusion services, Mark has specific experiences with bleeding disorder programming, 340B Drug Discount Programming, Community Based infusion and Specialty Pharmacy. Mark and his wife Sharon love to travel with their favorite location being Walt Disney World.

Amber Ferrell

Amber Ferrell is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and earned a Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Louisville. She served as a Social Worker for 8 years at the local non-profit organization, Family and Children’s Place, working as a case manager assisting individuals experiencing homelessness and as a supervisor for the home visiting parenting support program, HANDS. In 2019 she received the wonderful opportunity to serve the bleeding disorder community as the Social Worker for the University of Louisville Physicians Hemophilia Treatment Center. When she’s not assisting patients, you can find Amber eating, camping, hiking, attending concerts, canoeing, or playing with her daughter and husband. She is also a fur mom to two very special rescues, a dog named Mahgeeta and cat named Dudley.

Evan Dupree

Evan Dupree received his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE) and attended Morehead State University for his MBA. He entered the hemophilia community the day he was born, being diagnosed with Severe Hemophilia A at three days old. With a mom who was an ER nurse for 27 years and later became a nurse practitioner, hemophilia has never kept him from doing anything and he has developed a passion for serving the bleeding disorder community. Evan is an avid hunter during the fall and loves to waterski and spend time on the lake during the summer. Evan has been in the energy industry for nearly 10 years and currently works for Trane Technologies serving commercial and industrial customers’ electricity and natural gas needs. He and his wife Jennifer have a 5-year-old daughter, 3-year-old son, and a very energetic wirehaired pointing griffon puppy.

Matthew Burnett

Matthew is an attorney with Dinsmore & Shohl LLP in Louisville, Kentucky. Matthew’s practice includes estate, gift and income tax planning, asset protection planning, and estate (probate), trust, and guardianship administration.
