Our Mission

Mission Statement

Bleeding Disorders of Kentucky (BDoKY) improves the quality of life for people with inheritable bleeding disorders through education, engagement, and support.

Our Vision

Vision

We envision a bleeding disorder community in Kentucky where all people are empowered to create opportunities for themselves and others in order to achieve their full potential.

Serving families across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, BDoKY connects people living with hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, platelet disorders, and rare factor deficiencies to education, community programs, and support. We work alongside Kentucky's Hemophilia Treatment Centers in Louisville and Lexington to help every member of the bleeding disorders community find the resources and connection they need to thrive.

What Our Families Say

The Fall Family Enrichment Event was amazing! We loved connecting with other families and learning together. The sense of community and support BDoKY creates means so much to our family.
A BDoKY family
We made it back home a few hours ago… I wanted to say thank you so much for everything… I have never really been on a vacation… My husband and I have been married almost three years and he works just about every day… This was a blessing and I've never seen the kids all so happy at the same time!!!! Thank so so much ❤️
